About Our Designer
Originally from Wichita, KS, La Krisha Joseph-Baker made her mark on the Atlanta fashion scene in 2012. Her passion for fashion ignited at an early age, leading her to design and create everything from wedding gowns to business attire and club wear for the special moments in her family and friends' lives.
La Krisha's craftsmanship is deeply rooted in tradition, having been classically trained by her great-grandmother, a master seamstress. She describes her approach as "old school," emphasizing the importance of precision and quality. "If the seams of a garment didn’t line up, no matter how long you worked on it, my great-grandmother would rip it apart. It taught me to put my best work forward from the start," she shares.
In just a few years, La Krisha has produced 18 stunning collections. In 2013, she made waves in the industry by elevating Full Figured Models, directing an underwater photo shoot for her Spring/Summer campaign, "Mermaid’s Paint," featuring celebrity model Kai Morae. The Spring of 2015 marked another highlight when she showcased five collections at the inaugural Fashion Playhouse, a mesmerizing event that blended fashion, theater, and music, leaving the audience enchanted.
Amidst the challenges of the COVID pandemic, La Krisha launched her collection, American Blood Cotton, featured in Remodista’s live online show, showcasing her resilience and creativity. Recently, she has collaborated with numerous celebrity stylists, with her designs gracing red carpets across the country.
With an ambitious goal of partnering with retailers throughout the U.S., La Krisha continues to leave her mark on the fashion landscape, showing no signs of slowing down.
